The Glenelg Wastewater Treatment Plant in South Australia was originally built in 1932 with a number of subsequent capacity upgrades to accommodate increasing demand. This treatment plant is part of the key infrastructure required to provide a reliable and secure wastewater service to the southwest region of metropolitan Adelaide.
Solids handling systems are essential pieces of equipment for the process industries.
This recognition follows up on the same achievement the company reached last year, with an even more favourable result this time.
Allowing us to pre-qualify as an approved supplier within the wastewater sector, the certificate eases the process for companies and authorities in the sector to manage their supply chain risks and comply with EU procurement regulations.
SPIRAC offer two dewatering solutions to be able to meet strict industrial and municipal requirements.
Wastewater processing is the key to ensuring water is clean enough for discharge into a river or ocean. Grit is a problem for wastewater plants, causing damage, inefficiency and maintenance costs throughout the network and treatment process.

ABATTOIR VEVIBA – BELGIUM www.veviba.be
SPIRAC was asked to design, manufacture and install equipment at the Veviba abattoir in Belgium to be able to increase their capacity to 200 cows per day and to reduce costs. The expansion of the plant had to be completed within 6 weeks.
THE SOLUTION
The SPIRAC design team once again prooves how competence and expertise which have been gathered over many years can be applied successfully in practice. SPIRAC closely worked with their client 4D to enable the installation of two SPIROGUARD Compact Cleaners (CC) into a restricted space.
